A new Pokémon Go update has arrived and with it comes more Pokémon to catch from the Sinnoh region as well as evolutions of older Pokémon.

However, one of the biggest additions to the popular mobile game are new Lure Modules. Previous revealed in a datamine, Niantic has pushed out three new Lure Modules to catch (and evolve) certain kinds of Pokémon.

There’s also the inclusion of a brand new move that these new Pokémon can learn.

Pokémon Go has just brought a huge update and there’s a lot to go over so let’s get started and discuss everything included.

NEW LURE MODULES

The aforementioned new Lure Modules have arrived to make it easier to catch Pokémon of certain types. The each cost 200 coins in the shop.

When you’re near a PokeStop, pop the Special Lure Module to create a special habitat that attracts certain types of Pokémon. It can also evolve some older Pokémon, but we’ll get into that in a bit.

Here’s the three new Lure Modules and what they attract:

The Mossy Lure Module attacks Grass, Bug and Poison type Pokémon.

The Magnetic Lure Module attracts Electric, Steel and Rock-type Pokémon

The Glacial Lure Module attracts Ice and Water-type Pokémon.

POKEMON EVOLUTIONS – GLACEON, LEAFEON, PROBOPASS & MAGNEZONE

As for the evolution part of the new Lure Modules, once you activate the special Lure Module these Pokémon will be able to evolve with the right amount of Candy.

Eevee -> 25 Candy -> Glaceon (Needs the Glacial Lure)

Eevee -> 25 Candy -> Leafeon (Needs the Mossy Lure)

Nosepass -> 50 Candy -> Probopass (Needs the Magnetic Lure)

Magneton -> 50 Candy -> Magnezone (Needs the Magnetic Lure)

NEW POKEMON

With the release of Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, Niantic has slowly given Pokémon Go trainers the opportunity to catch them all.

This latest batch of Sinnoh Pokémon make their way into the game and offer some powerful options for battles. Here are all the new Pokémon added with this latest Sinnoh update.

Gible -> 25 Candy -> Gabite -> 100 Candy -> Garchomp

Hippopotas -> 50 Candy -> Hippowdon

Cherubi -> 50 Candy -> Cherrim

Burmy -> 50 Candy -> Wormadam (If Burmy is female)

Burmy -> 50 Candy -> Mothim (if Burmy is male)

Shellos -> 50 Candy -> Gastrodon

EARTH POWER

The brand new move added to Pokémon Go is the Ground-type attack, Earth Power. A powerful attack, Earth Power can lower your opponent’s Pokémon’s defense when used in Trainer Battles.

While Pokémon like Hippowdon and Gastrodon will be able to learn Earth Power, older Pokémon can now learn the powerful attack after using a Charge TM. Here’s a list of Pokémon that can now learn Earth Power:

  • Nidoking

  • Nidoqueen

  • Aerodactyl

  • Camerupt

  • Claydol
